My new `67 Imperial Crown Coupe!

Too bad you can't make it. Along with the other guys going, I was looking forward to meeting you. But.... If you work for yourself, work sometimes has to come first.

Thanks guys, really great offers, I'm honored. I just spent way to long looking for an image of a sailboat without wind in its sails, couldn't find one...

Check out the design by Sanitago Calatrava. It is called "Wings". It look like sails on a boat. This is in Milwaukee on Lake Michigan. It is part of the Art Museum. Watch the video in full screen. It's suppose to be one of the top 5 art designs in the world. I'm 99% sure he designed the 9/11 Memorial in NYC too. I'll try to find more pics and info for you...

That sucks Matt, I am sure its a huge disappointment for you. I found these for ya although the second seems more fitting.

That's flucking amazing!!!

and thanks Red for the images, the first one is exactly what I was looking for!

Spent some time today, continuing the love. I ordered brake hoses for the car and for those of you looking they're not easy to find for the front discs on a '67 Imp. Easier to find and within a quarter of an inch in length are those found on '66/'70 Phord broncos. Only had to wait one day from the local auto parts counter. Also welded up the one inner fender and began installing it but it appears that it'll require a little more tweaking because it put the kink back into the dogleg of the fender. Nothing is ever easy!

Matt, I don't like the looks of that. The kink in both lines are too sharp, That bracket even may be upside down.

Re-route the steel brake line so that it comes down from on top and the the flex brake line is under the bracket.

Thanks for the input Stan. The picture makes it look a little worse then it is. That's how it was originally and I never removed that bracket. In fact the new hoses are 1/4" longer. Here's a before shot.

still working on her but she aint running? Gonna make it or did you concede?
I have conceded but I still want to drive and enjoy it for as much of the summer as I can. I am so slammed with work that it wouldn't even be possible to accomplish all that needs to be done in less then a week. I'm really disappointed, I really put everything into it to try and make it happen. There was no time for setbacks.

I have some encouraging news from the weekend, no game changers as far as Carlisle is concerned but I'm excited. First what I thought was a vacuum leak turned out to be coming from my power steering pump so that's a load off my mind. Even better but not confirmed is that the more the engine is run, the less the rear main is leaking. In fact, I had it running for a solid 20 minutes yesterday and it hardly dripped. It was suggested that I need to get it out for a drive and put a load on it before determining what the next step will be. With that in mind I finished putting the front brakes back together, bleed them, replumbed the carb with oem style steel lines from Innline Tube, retorqued the intake and put the wheels back on. It was nice to see it back on all fours. I then went to take it for a spin and found that somehow the exhaust flange is now rubbing hard on the heat shield over the joint on the steering column:BangHead:

I think....... Back to plan "A"...... First Ross backs out on the Imperial ride...... Now you..... I was really looking forward to a Imperial ride....!

I don't even get to ride in my own Imperial. ;)

Any day now though. You comin to Nats?

You comin to Nats?

Naaaaa.......... One trip east is enough for me. Besides, after Carlisle the Nats is kind of a letdown. I'd love to see that big yellow Imperial though.

Our next big road trip will be the Turkey Run..... Daytona at thanksgiving
