It's going to be ZZ1 Gold and Black vinyl top, with a Gold interior, the way it came from the factory.Congratulations! Love 66 Monaco/ Polara.
The green is nice on it too. With that interior you can do any colour.
I hope so. That, or I'm stupid. You are courageous.....
It's the 4 speed VIN, been like that since I paid for the car.Hey Scott, late to the show. When we last talked, you were waiting at the border.
Like said then, I'm very happy for you on getting such a rare car. You are now in the exclusive 4-speed club on FCBO.
....so when are you going to change your avatar pic?
It's P4YAre you sure it is supposed to have a gold interior? That is a big job to have been changed out.
The interior code will be on the fender tag, and can be decoded. IIRC, black interior is coded P4X for Canadian 66 Dodge Monaco, but I'd need to confirm that.
it is very easy to get a black interior without changing all of it out - i thought my 69 monaco 500's interior was black when i 1st got it. it had been dyed black and it was done very well , my 1st clue was when i took a door panel off and found white vinyl .....

I'll check it out tomorrow. That would be sweet if that's the case.Agreed - it may well have been dyed when the car was painted the darker colour.
It was fun, even with the hiccup. I did a whole lot of thinking along the way, it was therapeutic.Congrats on the new to you car, sounds like you had a great trip other than the minor damage. Looking forward to a build thread on this one.
It almost looks like kids, the three axe holes, mirror and antenna broke off, and the roof is definitely flatter than stock. But who knows? I'm hoping to track some of its history, but not expecting much. That's an exceptional car. It looks to have been involved with a love triangle. Every car I have seen get the axe treatment has been. Looks to have been a man doing the swinging. The women don't stop until they get every panel or the axe gets stuck.
Good luck. Looking forward to the resto updates.
383.I re-read the thread and probably missed it, but is this car 383 or 440?
