Age 50. Singer, Musician, and Actor. Canadian by birth, American citizen now (in addition to Canadian?).
One of the most successful musical performers/lyricists ever. Known worldwide, recording sales approaching 100 million copies since she burst on the scene in the early 1990's.
She was one of the Best New Artiststs in the mid 1990's and has never looked back.
Her biggest hit "album" (likely in the top 50 ever sold as of this year) in mid 1990's. It won five Grammy's, sold over 30 million WW copies, and several single songs each becoming worldwide best sellers.
Nothing since quite successful as that first, worldwide release, but still going strong after 30 years of making music people like.
Known for rock/alternative rock music style, appealing to/resonating with women ("jagged", raw, "ironic", emotional lyrics) more that men, but she does well with both groups. I like her early stuff more than her later stuff.
Lotta awards and other recognition mostly for her music.
While probably not as recogized as an actor versus as a musician, she has done dozens of live, and filmed, and television gigs.
However, I have only seen her in one thing -she played "God". OTOH, my daughters rattled off a dozen other things they have seen her acting in on TV and theatrical movies.

If you don't recognize her face (difficult at 5, much easier at 17 as she still looks much the same at age 50), she was SO big in the 1990's, I think she's easy to find with some basic sleuthing on the clues.
