I put a 46rh in my 68 383 and now it seems my motor has a vibration going on ,possibly the wrong torque converter. Is what I’m thinking ?? , I had the driveline, professionally, shortened and balanced and it shakes when I wrap it up in park any extra input would help

What TC do you have? Does it have any weights on it? If so take pictures and post them. LA 360 engines were balanced on the TC, Magnum engines were not so they had a neutral balanced TC. How did you mount the 46 to the big block, Ultra-bell or adapter plate? I have seen adapter kits be installed incorrectly and cause some real problems.

So it vibrates when revving it up in neutral, what does it do going down the road? If you get it up to say 55, shift into neutral and take your foot off the gas does it still vibrate?

I actually just left town for a few weeks but as soon as I get back, I will get some more pictures, I went with the ultra bill housing, and I sent the transmission out to get rebuilt and told them at the shop what I was doing so I kind of just assumed he got me the right TC but as soon as I get back in town and get it on a lift, I will let you know and I really appreciate your input

So ends up the was different weight styles on the torque converter and I had the wrong weight styles?
Do you have pictures of the weights? If it is the big 360 style weight you can cut it off with it still in the car. I did that on my buddy's car.

How did the installation go. Worth the effort? Went in easy? I often think of this swap for one of my cars.

It is a pretty good swap into a c-body because you don't have to cut the tunnel. You do have to make a new cross member for the transmission.
