Hey everybody! Just picked up a 1968 Fury Sport Suburban 9 passenger wagon. I found this site while doing some parts hunting. Pretty nice car, but needs some TLC of course. 383, auto, air, p/s, p/b. Looking forward to being a very active member of the forum!

Welcome aboard. Look forward to hearing the story about how/why you came by the car and your plans for it. Just a bit of a heads up some members here like to put newbies through a bit on an initiation. Use the water off a ducks back approach and you'll like it here. There's a lot of knowledge and a lot of comaraderie.

NICE!! Welcome to the board .......... Love a station Wagon, especially the nine passenger models...

We'll all want to see more photos.... Where ya from?

Thanks for the welcomes guys. I actually acquired the car from a good friends daughter, who just went through a divorce and could not keep it. She was actually the second owner, with the original owner having passed away at 91 years old. Unfortunately, the ex-husband of the girl I bought it from didn't do the car any favors. He pulled all the chrome from the drivers side wood grain and trashed it. He also removed the front bumper and grille/headlight bezels which accidentally got scrapped. And he was responsible for the terrible wheels it has on it...

My plans are to make it a reliable driver to hit the cruise nights in, and drive quite regularly weather permitting. I'll get some more pics up soon.

Most people here started with " work in progress" car.....my NYB still is a "work in progress"! LOL!
