yup. NO ads of any kind as a gold member when I'm signed in. groovy man .. appreciate the feedback.
i am more often checking in on site W/O logging in vs. logging in .. so I was not benefitting from that particular gold member perk when NOT signed in.
Overall, I think the gold membership is worth it -- for me and the prominence this site has on my participation in the hobby. I know opinions vary on that - thats cool too..
I understand the economics of the digital age - gotta pay the bills in any business, earn returns on investment to be able to continue to make them, maintain privacy/security etc. All good too.
It is more fun for me to be ad free though. I'll "vote" above on suggestions people made for you folks to consider in the ordinary operation/placement of monetization necessities.

just a thought- clear your internet history and cache. I think you might have a browser problem. I don't see this problem

I use Google Chrome. When I click messages, show all, ads block the top 2 PM threads. When I click X, new ads appear and my access is again blocked.

Now the top three are partially blocked and access to the 4th conversation is completely blocked. If a I click X, another ad pops up.

I have been overrun with the scam ribbon thing at the bottom. This feature is clearly designed to manipulate your screen thriugh harvesting accidental swipes. I get stuck in a pop up loop that prevents me from posting.
Very frustrating if the members selling wares on thus site had the same scruples they would get banned.

The one at the bottom is annoying. On FBBO it does not allow me to post. On here it a least stays down far enough to use the buttons, just gets hit when scrolling. Yes I know the X then I flip to next 20 post and it's back.
The ad at the bottom is suppose to be there. As for the other stuff, clear your browser cache and browser history

I think we understand it is their by design. That was my point. The ribbon is too small to even read reliably. It is designed to hijack your screen and it is effective. The result is me battling your advertisers for control of my device.

I have deleted any excess baggage. Photos etc.

I got a pop-up ad for plus size lingerie.... I guess big girls and C bodies go hand in hand, makes sense....
No -- you shouldnt have to battle.
Like I said, clear your cookies, browser cache and browser history.
