New to me 78 NYB on its way but please Don't tell my wife

Stan, unlike mine, your connectors appear to be cast into the piece. Can’t figure it out from just the pictures. Sorry.

If you send me all the parts, I’ll wire it up for you and send it back.

Stan...

Here’s a schematic of what I did to the fixture to get it to work with our wiring...... minimal modification was my goal.

You’ll need one of these

Or one of these.... both of which you have.

I’m visual so I had to draw it out to make sense if it.

Yours is very different with cast in plates and connectors. Mine were all exposed except for the switches.... but those were obvious.

Offer still stands. Pack it up and send it. I appreciate a puzzle. I’ll even put connectors and tags on what to connect to what for you to help speed the install.

Unless you have a permanent ground to mount your fixture, you may need to run one for this to work.

Javier.

No... not what I was thinking. Though, thanks for the offer.

There’s a thread on here that shows you how th make up a set using your old corners and ends and some GM profile strip.
Javier, can you find that thread? Has anyone ever done that with good results? I have Restoration Specialties trying to come up with a solution for my 77 Newport Coupe and am wondering if they know about this fix. My roof rail seals are mighty ragged.

As I suspected, yours is different. Need to see both sides please.
After an entire day with the base and the multimeter, I couldn't figure out the circuit board circuitry. Exasperated, I looked deeply into the plastic base WHICH HAS THE CIRCUIT BOARD ENCASED IN IT and I found a hairline crack.
The lamp is junk... :BangHead:

Save it. I've been hounding Dave at Resto Specialties for YEARS now. He has zero inclination to move forward with this.
It ain't happening.
Dave left. The new guy is Jeff. He may be playing me as well, but he says he's trying. It's not like I got a lot of choices here.

Here you go Peter...

The Vertical Seal

I am planning on implementing this repair fairly soon..... together with the vinyl top replacement.
Thanks for this. When I click on the link, all I see is a photo. Is not Kip a member of this goup? How can I get the whole story? I think I saw a How to" once; am losing my mind. I am also deparate.
