I need to take the quarter panel trim off my '70 New Yorker 2dr. It looks like there are some white moulding clips holding it on. Does the trim just snap on and off these clips or does it have to be unbolted inside the car?

Usually there are studs through the body with nuts inside on the ends of the trim. It cannot be all snapped over plastic clips or it would come off in an accident or brushing up against something, and now it's a spear flying through the air.

Also inmthe wheel lip area there could be some screws.

Would help to see the trim to know what you are dealing with.

Here's a picture of the trim I need to remove

Just got them. There's three hiding inside the wheel housings, and possibly two screws on either end, not sure if mine are original in that respect though they appear to be. The rest are the delicate finger style plastic tabs. These are from a '71 but are the same overall.
