Yeah it's crazy. Never seen anything like it before. almost like it was sabotaged. lol. oh well, it needs a rebuild anyway.

I can't believe someone put the insulation in the valley area. I doubt it was done at the factory.....makes me think someone had the intake off your engine for some reason after it left the factory. I'm surprised the engine survived.

there was an insulation package between the valley pan and the bottom of the intake from the factory.

Wow, never seen that before, that's the beauty of these old rides, they all have stories to tell us when we restore them of previous owners mis-guided but sometimes well meant "modifications".
