Car is nice but doesn't deserve that money. Crack in dash, original, but not pristine engine compartment, and other issues.

They look good to me either way. Not sure I understand the rationale of producing the two roof lines. Must have been expensive to tool up for that with little net return. In any case this car looks very nice.

Any pictures of this one anywhere? Would like to see the blue stripe.

It was up on the internet about a year ago as the guy was looking for a blue stripe kit. Car was Alpine white with the blue stripe and looked rust free but weathered. Looked but could not find the thread today.

Man that interior is killer!:wideyed:

The interior of this one more than makes up for the formal roof line. Price is justified if it is truly a survivor.

I had a standard-roof 2dr in that shade of orange, with black buckets/console, and 383-2, which is what this car also has. I say this because the heat stove is close to #1 cylinder on a log manifold, and on an HP manifold it is closer to #3. So it has the correct air cleaner, just with a too-tall filter perhaps. (yes, it could've been converted down to log manifolds and a single-snorkel, but who does that???)

Although this isn't worth 17k IMO, it is def a neat combo, not often seen, only 2nd or 3rd I've seen other than mine.

Here's mine, named 'The Great Pumpkin'. Owned around 2001-2003 or so.

I was out looking for a house to buy, and a voice in my head told me 'go straight here, you've never been on this road before'. Didn't see anything interesting house-wise, but saw this with a FS sign and bought it for a reasonable price.

Was a 1-family car, grandson got it but didn't want it. Had been an OH car and had been metal-patched a bit but not a bad amateur job. Interior was really nice, and it just needed some cheap-n-easy TLC. Got lots of enjoyment out of it, but it had roofrust I just couldn't stop, it needed the glass taken out to do it right, it was starting to get bubbles along all the lower edges of the body, and the paint had lots of cracks in it. Sold it to a buddy after a few years, and he sold it to a guy who put it on ebay. That seller proclaimed it as all original, #s matching and rust-free, and got a high bid on it. I knew that was a lie, esp because the original engine was still in my garage!

A funny thing I discovered after I sold it - it was serial# 1006xx, and built in Aug 69, so was a very early car. Not that it matters much, my reasons for divorcing it were legitimate. And although I would love to have 1 just like it, I don't want this one back.

And for any eagle-eyed guys out there, the white sliver of a car on the driverside is the car in my sigpic, which has been with me for just over 20 years now. (it was also a 1-owner car)
