Found this one on FB last night. Looks all original, still has the Sport Fury Script on the trunk. He is asking 13.5K.

IDK it looks original to me. I invited the guy to join the FCBO maybe he can post a pic of the fender tag. He told me if he doesn’t sell it he plans to restore it.

Yes, floor boards appear to match to me also. Very cool car. My favorite Sea Body. I would love to have it. Just no room for it.

1970 Plymouth Sport Fury with a 383. ALL ORIGINAL. JAMES DEAN SPECIAL. GET IN AND GO CRUISE!!!! Factory A/C car(doesn’t work). Very rare orange on orange interior/exterior. Odometer reads 48,000,but I’m not sure if that’s 148,000,248,000 orrrr??? Mileage on title says “exempt”. Runs and drives. Cruises down the road at 70 like a Cadillac. Could use some interior. Everything is still useable, just depends on how far you wanna take this classic. Does have a small oil leak from driver side valve cover gasket. Very solid car. Only rust is behind passenger wheel on fender and quarter and driver quarter(pictured). SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY,PLEASE!!IF ITS LISTED ITS FOR SALE. ADD WILL BE MARKED SOLD AND DELTED ONCE SOLD. $13,500obo

A nice four thousand dollar car. . . Interior, paint / body work will take another 15Gs at least.

Okay..... so if it was yours you would take 4k ?
Let me know in the future if you have solid 23 roof fuselage bigblock cars , i will buy them from you...

I think $13500 is a high price. Dreamer.

I don’t have anything to do with this car. I just saw it and thought I would let the group know. I agree it seems to be overpriced but it does look like a survivor that doesn’t have hidden bodywork done. I’ll refrain from posting my findings from now on.

Don't refrain. That was not pointed.
I've been considering the car as it is pretty cool. Your post helped me. I wish more folks would post what they find (especially barracuda's)
They are just having the typical old man point of view back and forth.

I agree, please keep posting what you see. I very much enjoyed seeing this very cool Fury, thank you!
And cuda hunter is right, the comments about the price were not directed at you in any way, it was just personal observations about the car.

I have no problem with you posting the for sale ad. We need to know what the market is doing whether we like it or not. Regarding your technical comments on other posts, I find them informative.
I was criticizing the seller, not you. People who say, "if it doesn't sell, I'll restore it." Bullshit. If the man was going to restore it, he wouldn't have put up a for sale ad.

Don't give up on us. . . We are only trying to put price and car condition in perspective. This car is barely in a No. 2 condition. To bring it to a decent No. 4 Driver is gonna take a lot of money, and I'm sure there are other issues with car we can't see from here, which will surely drive up the repair / restore cost a whole lot more. Many of us have been down that road where we started with a solid decent car and ended up spending far more than we thought in the beginning. See my thread The SAGA Begins - '66 300 Convertible. I paid a lot more than $4K for this car, and looking back, I should have passed on it or haggled a helluva lot harder. Also, as others have pointed out, we are not being critical of you or your opinion, so keep 'em coming.

Ordinarily I agree with you Rip, but if this car was only worth $4k I'd have it already.

It's a 70SF 2dr, with the 'correct' roofline, and in a great original color.
Yes, a ton of money to restore, but there's a lot of desirability there.

If I were in the market, I'd offer $7000 and be prepared to increase to $8000. I would not offer more.

What $ amount do you consider a fair offer?

Well, it's been gone for a day or so now. Someone bought it, wonder what it went for.

Anyone get the trim tag for this car?

I should have said that I would start with a 4K offer and go from there, depending on what turned up with an in-person inspection. For instance: When I bought my 66 300 convertible, I believed it was a solid and true j code TNT car, because it was so original in every respect. Found out many months later that a 383 had been swapped in for the original 440. I know this was a rookie mistake on my part, but when you don't know what yer doing, you learn as you go. Cost me $5K to straighten out this mess. . .

I would've been in your neighborhood of $7-8k, for what it would be worth to me, and considering what it needs done to it to make me happy (which is not a full resto).
As a seller, I don't know if that is fair, as I would be in the 'Fuseys are worth big money' camp.
