I spoke at length with the owner of that Newport, IF I recall correctly I think he said he was from Ohio. He found the car on a used car lot the way you see it sans the big tires, paid $4500 for it. He revamped the suspension system a bit (larger torsion bars, added sway bars...) but it retains it's bone stock 383 2bbl motor. Nice interior as well.

For the first time in seven years my convertible has placed an award at Carlisle. In the stock class 69-78 she came in 2nd. The green 71 Polara 4 door came in third. No plymouths this year placed....which is curious, they always do.
