O.K. Carlisle photos now??

I spoke at length with the owner of that Newport, IF I recall correctly I think he said he was from Ohio. He found the car on a used car lot the way you see it sans the big tires, paid $4500 for it. He revamped the suspension system a bit (larger torsion bars, added sway bars...) but it retains it's bone stock 383 2bbl motor. Nice interior as well.

Its a great looking car, deserving of many more awards to come I am sure

Dave: Well deserved recognition for your car. Congrats! Maybe people are finally beginning to appreciate what a special vehicle you have. BTW thanks for posting all the pics. Did you have to resize all of those?

Nice pics thanks a lot for posting them. Still bummed I couldn't make it!

Wow, those are breath taking shots! Your car looks absolutely gorgeous against that sunset. Nice Job!
I remember that downpour. It seemed like the thunderclouds chased us out of Carlisle and then a couple exits up the PA turnpike. We had just got back to our hotel room when the deluge began. Lasted for about 20 minutes where we were at. The storm dissipated and then this beautiful evening sunset ensued. Cooled down a bit too. Thanks for sharing those!

Every one Fred, every photo. Look at the time it took to upload ,two hours.

Thanks for the compliment. If you recall I had to have the engine rebuilt two years ago. I just sprayed the air breather housing two weeks ago and I believe that makes the difference. My car is bordering on "no longer survivor status".

Lol. I promised myself to get earlier next year.

Right, I am just happy you made it. Now you know what its like you'll be on time next year.

Thanks, they are nice shots. I just missed the brightest lightning bolt I had ever seen and I was looking right at it. I pulled the camera away from my eye for a second to see who was coming out the door and bam, I missed it.

Dave, your car looks a lot nicer in person. I thought it was the best in our class for sure! Those 1972 and 1973 Imperials parked next to each other I thought were very nice too. Thanks for sharing your pictures.

I recall your mention of the rebuild. In my book fixing mechanical stuff to keep it on the road shouldn't count. Survivor or not your car is a beauty. No doubt detailing is important but I'm not sure about the air breather appearance being the deciding fractor. IMHO it's the burnt orange colour that really pops and turns heads.

I want to thank you and Bob both for all the great pictures, it is greatly appreciated. Some of your shots are exceptional, I really liked the shot down the rear of the '66 300, the shot accross the nose of the '60 Fury and the '58 Chryslers and the sunset pictures are really nice also.

I have a question... What the hell is the '38 or '39 2 tone coupe? It doesn't look like any Chrysler product that I've ever seen... Nash maybe?.. or something else odd with a Chrysler drivetrain?

Fred, the air breather is the first thing you see under the hood and mine looked like it was splashed with paint stripper. With the rest of the engine bay mostly done or nicely original it needed to be done, and I didnt want to. So I did the right thing and made it look better. There is a posting on the Drydock of Carlisle photos and the poster took three photos of my car, one of the engine bay. It looks a ton better.

I am just thrilled that the Dodges got some love.

Found it.... '38 Hudson Terraplane. I didn't recognize this as any of the big 3, but I definetely missed with the Nash guess.

Very cool lines.
