OEM style Alternator regulators

The ONLY thing I could want from these otherwise perfect voltage regulators might be a potentiometer to permit setting a minimum field voltage for the alternator. There were after market VRs made years ago, on the old primitive thermo-electric pattern which had "pots" for this purpose. I might buy an extra one or 2 some day and get a power pot, then see what I can make of it. Heaven forbid it would be a barbecued alternator stator!
