OK you truckers...

1/4 pounder is a company percentage driver that is making 25% of what the truck makes and pounds the hell out of the truck to go go go no matter what.

I was doing a 750KM rounder last night through the mountains...takes a full 14 hours with no time for breaks! So much for our corporate "safety first!". Anyway I saw a 1/4 pounder (like that term!) reach the top of the hill...I was in the brake check....and something let go on the RH rear axle. There was smoke, sparks and fire. I watched the guy get out, climb around and check a few things, then charge the brakes back up and get going....guess there really wasn't a problem!:eusa_whistle:

I'm sad to say I never drove a Pete.

Well, I found one for you then

WTF Google says 123 mi using 27 & the toll rd. 114mi staying off toll road. You have to ask do the idiots that chartered that road understand the concept of why there are toll roads? The whole damn state is flat the only obstacles are lakes and swamps.

Hey... It hasn't snowed here in at least a week....
For a couple of years, my steady run from Boston was to meet down in Fairfield, NJ another truck from out of Syracuse every night. That was so we could combine loads. I'd arrive in a T-shirt and he'd arrive wth the truck totally packed in front with snow, slush, and ice.
I hated swapping trailers with him. Had to get my hands all muddy...
