I'm sick of hearing the greybeards praise cast iron manifolds that cork the exhaust. They don't work for me. I'm running angle plug heads and manifolds burn the plug wires.
Besides that, I'm dropping a 543 inch stroker in my 72 Imperial. It's finally getting the torque it deserves.
When I was sticking with a 440 I wanted the Hedman mid length headers that people like. Now, their 1-3/4" primaries and 2-1/2" collectors are going to be a wee bit small.
TTI is the next option but they angle the collectors inward and have a disturbingly tight pinch to get the pipes through the crossmember. That's got to kill flow. Still, they're 1-7/8" tubes with 3" exhaust.
Are there other options out there that fit a column shift fuselage body?
