I'd disconnect it at the alternator, insulate the end so it can't short to ground and tie it up out of the way. Alternately just cut it off and discard.What do I do with stock charge wire
thank you for your info,the high amp alternator is on its way back to summit, I have a stock alternator that I'm gonna wire to the battery so it bypasses the ammeter gauge, and diffently gonna get relays for headlights.I'd disconnect it at the alternator, insulate the end so it can't short to ground and tie it up out of the way. In reality, leave it in place, it won't cause any problems.
Absolutely.So can I run a charge wire directly to the battery when using a stock alternator, would that be better than going through the firewall.
