Ya see the Irish flag was adopted in 1924.... The Mexican flag wasn't adopted until 1968.......Not sure what bearing that has the subject of this conversation but interesting facts none the less!

OEM is too simple for my taste......as far as what people and their pets do/have......it's of no concern to me! Also that is why I'm looking at painting them, this style is very common... But I like them!!

That would take a better brush than I have right now. Everything I've painted has been on an identinticle set of valve cover to my black ones. Makes for good practice , unfortunately my brushes are cheapies and require more skill !

A dense foam trim roller works really well for that application.

I'm really liking the simplicity of black ribs and white lettering tho.

Agreed Dave! And white it is. I'd like to get the finned edlebrock air cleaner too, maybe I'll do that lettering in the flag!!

Another reason for going white. I like the flag but "tuning" the colors with out the paint becoming a lumpy paste has proven too uhm.....elusive.
