Hi!
I have had 69 le baron 2d for 20 years, car is in mint condition, but seats needs restoring.
It has bench seats, but I like to have original front bucket seats and the central cushion for it.
interior color is burgundy /tan, but i m interested also in any colors of seat.
cloth, leather and cushion can be any condition, but frame and plastics etc. must be reasonable repairable.

I'm also interested of rear shoulder belts

Your car is stunning, I wouldn't change a thing! Welcome to the site from the Motor City!

Oh no, I have spoiled my car already from original, adding tilt steering, cruise control, power door locks, panasonic radio inside original radio, isofix attachment points in rear seats, wrong material in trunk and headliner and many other things :D
so I like to go on with those buckets, all leather of course :)

(second plan is to use original front seat. For that I have cloth samples from sms autofabrics and sewing machine)

I agree with Matt, I would leave the front seat right where it belongs. So you added some options that the factory forgot, cool ! Creature comforts are all good but you will lose the power seats. That right there is one damn sharp automobile! Sequential signals still work??:D

Your best bet is to try Murray Park, who lives in Ohio. I would bet he has a set of 69 Imperial leather buckets. The cheapest way to get them to you would be to have them go into a container going to Finland from New York. I can connect you with a guy that does shipping to Finland that could take care of that for you, if needed. I help out guys in Finland a lot, especially when cars or parts go from the West coast, i.e. California, but the shipper I know services both coasts. Email Murray at:

He is a great guy and I have done business with him for decades. A couple years ago I got a full interior, leather bucket seats/door panels for a 71 Imperial coupe. I wouldn't hesitate to change your bench seat to the leather buckets - they are so much more comfortable and nice to look at. A car as good looking as yours deserves nothing less. Good luck.

Beautiful Imperial!

But I have to ask...

Is this your design? If so, thank you for leaving it as it is!!

Original picture is mine, but photoshopped isn't.
I found that customized version too from imperialclub.com.
but enough votes i might consider.. :)

If your taking votes on customizing or not my vote is for the stock look or very close to it. The current upgrades you have done to it are tasteful IMO. You have a beautiful car as is. The photo-chopped version is not impressive when compared to what you already have.

Even though this procedure will change the car from the exact configuration in which it was built, I think it will very much enhance

the car. This is not a difficult process as I have done it, and it makes for a far more luxurious feel to the interior. My car is B9 blue, originally with the blue cloth bench seat. I was able to secure a black bucket seat set and I had it completely redone in dark blue, matching the original dark blue door panels and headliner. For you, I would match the color to the door panels which look like the original saddle color (Interior code MRT). My advice is that you not compromise on the design, however. Stay with the '69-only sew style. Probably the most difficult thing will be finding the plastic surround panels in good shape. These panels are also used in Chryslers with bucket seats, so I was able to buy some repops for those.

Wow!
that's what i'm looking for!

Is 6 way power and "automatic doorway entrance enlarger" always with buckets?

How does the entrance enlarger work?

what year model of Chrysler shares same bucket frame and surrounding panels?

I haven't seen Imp buckets live. As far as i know there is only 2 2d lebaron in Finland and i haven't seen the other one.

ps. no customization planned this car, ever..

These '69 buckets are one year and Imperial only. Tough search for sure, but they are out there!

The "automatic doorway entrance enlarger" is a motor that moves the seat forward automaticly when you tilt the seatback. This is standard on all Imperial bucket seats. The only addable option for this seats was the reclining passenger seat as far as I know.

* my seats are out of the car right now due to the restoration. So, if you need any detail pictures let me know.

Not really, as the 1969 & 1970 Imperial and 1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst shared the same frame and surrounding trim panels. But the leather seat patterns were different between the two years of course.
