You have shown some really nice houses - wow, I hope they stand forever! Today's houses are void of any inspiration.

Milwaukee has thousands of historic buildings. I'm glad that they (Milwaukee) finally understood the importance and beauty of these buildings and pretty much stopped tearing down historic buildings in the mid 1970's. You should of seen the gems they managed to tear down prior to 1975. That is a shame but at least they stopped tearing stuff down.
There are a lot of beautiful historic homes and buildings in the ghetto (North Side) too and the people that own them have been saving and restoring them for the last decade or so.
