Sort of a garage. One of the restored hangars.
This one,
built 1931, is at Floyd Bennett Airfield, Brooklyn NY. An art deco gem, several or the hangars and administrative buildings on the grounds.
Very colorful history in US Armed forces, including Coast Guard, and NYC air asset deployments (e.g., helicopters, small craft, etc). Both Howard Hughes and Amelica Earhart flew out of Floyd Bennett in the 1930's
The sources overflow with facts/figures. Designated a national historical location, several of the the buildings are being readied for their second century.

1933 - Wiley Post, with his Lockheed Vega in front of this hangar, before the first ever "solo" round-the-world plane flight. Post and Will Rogers were killed in a crash in Alaska in 1935.
1938 - Unidentified man in front of this hangar with a Focke-Wolfe Fw 200 S-1"Brandenburg" Condor. Obviously a German plane, before WWII made such a visit impossible.
1940's - A Grumman J2F Duck parked in front of this hangar.
