Former Darien (GA) Motors, "streamline moderne", built 1947. 707 Highway 17 @Trumbull, Darien, GA.

Last use as a series of Ford dealerships (Steve James Ford, Jack Nelson Ford, and Lilliston Ford) into the 2000's sometime.

Now, most of its architectural distinctivness is gone.

Still movin' iron. Post WWI construction, with the "tower" (just an expensive sign). Survived the GM update in the 2000's.

Today .. If you didn't know what it was, you wouldn't know what it was. They (subsequent owners) kept the showroom windows .. not much else of the vintage architecture over the years.

Former Phillips 66 gas station, now 66 Diner on Historic Route 66 at 1405 Central Avenue Northeast, Albuquerque, NM; built 1946.
