Photos of Vintage Auto Dealerships, Repair Shops, and Gas Stations

The buildings look so grand and vast compared to the street views. That lil gas station from 1946 was a real surprise in size looks.
I think it's because the old pics were done to show the business off. A real camera with real film used and some time to set up the right shot etc.

New pics are taken by a Google earth car with a digital camera on the roof.

Another Raleigh gas station. Gotta wonder what the attendant was thinking.... Bet it had something to do with the woman with the T-Bird.

Unknown location. My first job was at a Douglas gas station.
 
New Castle Delaware Chrysler plant.

I was in there for a tour back around 1990, when they were making Acclaims/Spirits/LeBarons and the export Saratoga.
