This popped up in a Nostalgic Syracuse Facebook group.

The person that posted it said 1943 and the guy on the left was her great uncle. She said her uncle never lived anywhere else, but was in the service in 1943... No 16th and Island in Syracuse, but there is in San Diego... So, I think you could assume this was when he was stationed there.
