Making the wooden firewall. I was curious, thinking that by 1921 the Model T had a steel firewall, but I read that they started phasing the wood out in 1922 and by 1923, the Model T firewall was steel. Also in my reading, the firewall pictured was for a car equipped with an electric starter. The starters were an option, starting in 1919.
