1939 Glendive Montana. Building is gone now, looks like it was a blacksmith. Note the horseshoe shaped windows and entrance with the anvils on the building.

"On March 9, 1901, the Olds Motor Works, located along Jefferson near the Belle Isle Bridge in Detroit, was destroyed in a fire.
The Detroit News called it “a spectacle of rare magnificence.” A separate foundry building survived, and a single Curved Dash runabout was able to be saved.
Ransom Olds temporarily converted the surviving building into his manufacturing operation and managed to produce 425 cars in 1901. However, he elected to build his new manufacturing facilities back in Lansing, where he originally started building small gas engines and experimenting with electric, steam and gas-powered cars. The image is courtesy of the General Motors Archives."

Cool little joint with art deco flavor. It was built in 1926. The car in the B&W photo is a 1947 Studebaker.
Car in the later, color photo is a 1956 Packard Caribbean (Packard was in its death throes about this time ... might have even been their last year in business).
ASIDE: 1956 Packard Caribbean. Couldn't resist. I'd still spin that baby proudly.
