Power window switch and plug

Does anybody have a source for the wiring harness plugs for the power window switch? There are hundreds of switches on the internet, but none for the plugs. I will even buy the switch and plug if I can find them.

I guess you are looking for car, model and year. I don't care. I can make them work.

You are looking for the large, flat, plastic part that clips to the back of the switch?

That would be a great part to repop. I've encountered many that have been broken from mishandling or they just get fragile over the years.

Grab every one you can if raiding a car for parts.

I am thinking about doing the GM type. They appear to designed to avoid the corrosion. The nylon/plastic would still get brittle in 50 years. Hell, by that time I will be 118 years old.

I just am puzzled as to take care of this problem. I have wrapped the one on the passenger's side with a roll of electrical tape and still have to squeeze it to make the window work.

Has anybody just wired them directly into the switch?

That's not a bad idea.

I think I would cut the wires about 8-10" long from the original harness. The wires have this round connector on the ends. I'd soldier these to the plugs on the back of the switch and then do a GM weatherseal connector back to the harness.

Have to figure out a good way to insulate the back of the switch though.

Fella's since we're on the topic of Window Switches. I need some direction as well. The drivers door master switch (Pictured) needs much love.. Both window switches work, but the (single) switch you see is the "Window Lock" switch that does not.. The one missing is the "Door Lock" switch. So I just took the switch out for pics so you can see more of what I need. Can you direct me to someone that can repair? Or a site that would sell parts to replace? any info would be helpful.

I guess now that I look at the pics, It looks like the switch was in a Fire.. I was NOT. Not sure how it ended up that way. But sure needs to be repaired or replaced. Thanks for the help / direction in advance guys..

Must had a bad electrical short. I'd say there's no fixing that one.

If you don't want your expensive power window switch to look like that one, hit me up. I build relay kits for the power windows. Takes the load off the switch and improves window motor performance. I also started doing Power Top motor relay kits along with the headlight relays. As with most of the things I build, they are essentially plug and play.

I'm in need for some window switches too. I have 3 here I've rebuilt.... They were good, but not like brand new. Alot of guys don't know this but there is supposed to be a soft rubber covering over the black cover but under the switches themselves... It acts as "spring" to push or pull the switches back into place once released
