Ramchargercentral.com gets pissy about SeaFoam.

Quite the pissing match there and the one guy was the moderator what is up with that

Useless snake oil at that...

for our older stuff, what would a person be trying to clean? ATF in the combustion chambers left to sit for 12 hours will soften carbon so you wipe it out, or just run the engine and burn it away.

In my personal experience, few fuel injected cars run any better because of additional cleaners, most positive results come from draining the fuel rail hooking up the equipment. Returnless fuel systems can't get rid of crap in the rail except through the injectors.

"I worked in a chemical company for 23 yrs"
"I am an Environmental Health and Safety Manager"

I've heard it said that a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing; perhaps a lot of knowledge can be ...worse.

it will take 2-3 tanks of gas, but chevron techron is the only thing i've found that will work on injected engines.

I'm not a big believer in using gas additives but I have used Techron in my truck when going on an extended trip and using 3-4 tanks of gas. The first tank is run without the additive and when refilling I will pour it in and I will get a mile per gallon better mileage with that tankfull , so apparently it does help cleaning the injectors maybe ?? And I continue to get better mileage with each successive tank
