Rear gate won’t lock

Rear gate won’t lock on 72 fury, key won’t turn and inside lock won’t go down with door open or shut. Has anyone had this problem before?

I say lube everything up real good let it sit a day and see what happens.

So been lubing everything in the gate for a while, the lock seems to move free and all the other linkage seems free. I think the problem is in the latch/electronic windo down switch?
