You guys are WAAAY too harsh, this thing is a prize compared to most muscle cars that people want to rebuild. This project would be gravy, even with the dirty data plate. I should post pictures of the Scout that we are rebuilding... I think half of you would fall over dead...

They make dutchman panels for these, and weld some patches in the sail panels and if it is deeper than what I'm seeing, they make decent full 1/4s for the '70 plymouth B-bodies now. About 2 years ago I replaced every part available from the doors back, less frame rail sections on a '70 Charger, and I think with labor and parts the guy had about 8 grand added to his car... before paint.

It is actually very unmolested for a '68-'70 Runner... Many of them have been hit in every panel, and had some 3 tooth, shade tree body man work done to them in the 1st 10 years of their exsistence.

This car is likely already sold for it's asking price...

Hemi orange/Tor red with A/C, go-wing, go-wing... gone...

(Pun intended) shocker huh?

I personally don't care for the go-wing, but I think I may be in the minority in the Road Runner crowd.

Honestly, I like the EV2 darker orange... mine is EK2 vitamin C...

Has2be....a new respect for your humor........

You are correct in your assessment of this B body but as C body guys were wiser than that

Your RR is beautiful! I love the high impact colors!!!!

If it is a factory J81 rear spoiler car it is somewhat later built as the spoiler got introduced during the model year.4500$ sounds reasonable

It is. You can see the J81 on the tag (last code, third line from the bottom). RM21, EV2, Decor group, A/C (not found as often on coupes) and Go Wing.

$4,500 = not out of the realm.

I never realized how 'thrifty' C body owners were compared to B&E body owners.

For $4,500 I have a #'s matching big block '71 Bee and I think I've had maybe 2 calls on it in the last month and the engine runs great!

I'm supprised you haven't had more interest in the "B" Matt. There is a big division line between 1970 and the new 1971 Bbodys. I, for one, never warmed up to the 71 and later "coke bottle" style.... A little to "GM,ish".
I've received a lot of response to this 70 RR from the FBBO site. Wish I could buy and keep it myself but the line has been drawn for projects.

I hear you on everything, I'm not a huge fan of the third gen Style myself but there are a lot of people into them and I can't believe one of them hasn't stepped up.

Ever see one of those "coke bottle" style B-bodies totally stripped down and without all those 817 ugly styles of plugged vinyl tops, gawd awful graphics, doo-dads, glue-ons and all that other mid 70's crap"? They are a beautiful car.

I prefer the 1968-69 B-Bodies.......especially the 1969 Super Bee! I guess owning one still kind of sways to it!

I actually like the 66-67 models best, then the 68-70s, not so enthusiastic about the later ones.
That's about the worst I would handle conditonwise if I really would want that model, I think it's pretty safe to say it will return to life, they do cars that are even worse and you won't lose money or nothing more than with a better C-body that needs some TLC, depending on how much you can do on your own.

Hi,

is your 70 Ply a RR?
If so have you painted the rear panel black because you like it? Or is it a GTX missing a lot of trim?

strange, the last code I can see on the picture of tag is J45.

thanks now I can see it. The pic was missing the right part for me before.
Seems it was a Y16 sales bank car, too. Pretty unusually equipped

"thrifty"........ Hehe...... Well stated... I like that.

Oh stop it, Will. There's nothing left. It's not even worth the gas money to drag it to the crusher. Even the VIN is rusted beyond use.
This Road Runner is in way better shape than the 69 Coronet R/T I'm doing for a customer. Here's the pictures.
