Well thats the funniest thing you have written since you have been on the board..

I love history too blah blah blah BUT I thought the writing was boring . Its gotta be written well to hold interest, that article was not
 
These cars are a forgotten part of Chrysler history. There may be justification for that, though. The early ones were truly horribly built. My brother worked for an insurance company at that time and he inherited a company car from an exec who had left. It was a beige '79 New Yorker - I think 95% of them were beige.

I rode in it a few times with him and for a car that was about 1 year old and had few miles on it, there seemed to be a lot of issues - rattly, wind noise, just didn't feel solid. The dash and interior trim looked nice but it did not seem to be a quality piece. I think the car needed a lot more preproduction development that Chrysler at the time did not have the cash to pay for.
