The title pretty much says it all. For whatever reason, 75 is the magic number. The vibration isn't so bad that the passenger feels it but it's very noticeable to the driver.

Also check the steering connector between the steering gear and the input shaft.

You know what? I just realized I recently went to go have my tires rotated and balanced but I didn't have my warranty papers so they only rotated them. That's gotta be it! I'll get back to y'all after I get it taken care of.
Very possibly they knocked a weight off.

Seems like it is a little better but I haven't had a good chance to take it back up to 75 as there's a lot of construction going on around here and I had to get home. I'll go out here in a bit, hit the interstate and I'll post my findings this evening.

I spoke too soon. Something is up with the rear end. Between 75-85 mph is where it's worst and then it seems like it goes away above that but after I got it up to about 100 and then turned off and started coming back, it bogged down on me, not like engine bog but like driveline bog down. Very strange.

Check tires for belts broken, bal., bent wheel, failing wheel bearing. Worn ball joints and steering linkage, worn out steering gear. Any combination can cause this condition.

Could the driveshaft be out of balance? Just guessing

put it up on ramps, climb under it and grab the driveshaft at the rear of trans -
attempt to wiggle side to side and top to bottom.
move to rearend of driveshaft,
turn back n forth to judge condition of pinion inside rearend, noting amount of free play.
let us know what you find out

im assuming they balanced all 4 tires/rims yes?
and they didnt make the new guy do them?

also, does it still vibrate thru the Steering column? or has it moved?

Read your last post. Put jack stands under rear diff. Check driveshaft smooth oper. Any run out seen is unacceptable. Drive shaft bal. issues are common. Use a stethoscope. and check for diff noise & axle bearing noise. Any whine or rumbling noise is unacceptable. If you still need help pm me.

It vibrates underneath and in the rear now. I wonder if it's U-joints. One other thing I've noticed is it is a noticeable sound when shifting from park to reverse. Especially when I'm parked on an incline. That's why I suspect U-joints.

so it changed locations then?
id suggest checking those wheels a bit more carefully.
it sounds like you have a bad tire or bent rim.
thats why i asked,
as i doubted them put the wheels back on the exact same place they came off.

the clunking tho,thats no good.
you should deffo take david and my advice and check that out.
bring a pry bar and check the trans mount while yer under there
and check the motor mounts too,esp if this is a big block car.
