Ofcoarse! I am looking forward to how it comes out. Just not feeling it though.... The girlfriends younger brothers freind dips all different kinds of parts on his little celica. Down here in the FL sun it last for a couple weeks, then starts to look like a faded crappy spray bomb job. Although he is getting the cans at the local HD. I think its cool it can be peeled right off, and not damage anything.
Good work on the doors! I'd like to put a nice sound system in the blumo, but don't want it visible. Also don't want to cut up the panels for it niether.

I figured you would, but just checking. Nice job man. Did you get the kit in to spray it this weekend?
I contacted Dip N' Detail in New Jersey and they are only a 1/2 hour from me. They dip there and are part of DipYourCar.com. I waiting to hear back from them on a cost to do my car if I decide to go that route.
UPS says I'll have it by next Tuesday so that means I'll be prepping this weekend & dipping next weekend.
Sorry, Stan, it's not going away anytime soon. My recommendation would be for you to simply look the other way. Or, you can continue to be frustrated to my great amusement...

Looking forward to seeing the dipping results, I have contemplated experimenting the process on a work vehicle, but you are saving me the time of trying it out myself.

Not likely will that happen soon Stan.
Folks just don't have the talent and/or patients to do nice work anymore. The result is a quick shortcut to cover up rather then repair or restore. Looks like the pride we once strived for is going away.
The Rat Rod craze kinda started it, I think. I still don't get them either. I guess it's better to be funny then have pride in your work.
I don't worry about it...... just makes the nice cars more desireable.
I love rat rods. Absolutely love them.
By the way, my car's gonna be pretty bad ***, if I do say so myself. It already has a swarm of people all over it everywhere I go. So, I take exception to the pride going away comment.
Once again, you old CENSORED with hats think that if it's not your taste then it's not acceptable. And, once again, I'll do whatever I want with my cars, regardless of commentary from the old guys with hats...

No matter what you say about it going away or it's a bad idea,..it comes down to being his car and his decision on what he does with it. The cool thing is,.if he doesn't like it, the dip peels off with no harm done. I'm guessing he's not peeling it off and it's going to look really good.

Ross, I absolutely encourage you to keep doing what you've been doing all along.
And you know I do.
You also know part of charm of the whole culture is while you guys are doing your stuff, old CENSORED with hats like to grumble while you're doing it. If you didn't do what you do and old CENSORED with hats didn't do what they do, you know for damn sure it would cause a sudden magnetic shift of the Earth's poles causing a tilt off its axis sending everyone on the planet into another dimension where young guys grumble at old CENSORED in hats because we get all the babes.

There aren't many rules for site but no vulgar language is one. It's a thing agreed to when signing up for membership. I put the CENSORED there. Ross's comments were funny so I didn't delete them just took out the F word.
I don't do much in the way of censoring anything as it's not been necesssary during my time here but since I had to I thought italic was better than bold
