Stormer's 67 Polara Build

Factory stock ship has sailed...

Thanks, Dave. I know it's a stretch for you & I appreciate the sentiment.

The car was on the edge, since it was already painted once the originality was gone when you bought it so, it is what it is . It is not like you took a survivor and hacked it up.......I am on board with your project and cant wait

I'm looking forward to seeing it too Ross. Sounds like it will be oustanding, even with my comments on black engine compartments .. and the car is going to be black anyway so non-issue really

They're moving right along on the Polara and it should be on the road yet this year.

The pictures are actually sideways and I even loaded them on my MacBook this time. I have no idea why it does that.

So, any updates? What're your plans for that 383 you'll have sitting around? I don't think I ever saw an answer to Bob's question about the transmission.

The update is that I'm waiting for the flakiest people I've ever met to get me parts. Frustrated does not even begin to describe it......

I am using the 727 & it's been rebuilt & is ready to go. I just ordered a flex plate from ATI after waiting forever for my former parts guy to send me one. I'm going straight to the Mopar parts counter from here on even though it will cost a little more....

I bought Classic Instruments gauges at Good Guys. The speedo works off of a GPS sending unit which will be real nice. Two round gauges with speedo & tach in one & fuel, oil, temp & volts in the other.

They're starting to pull the trim off the car to get her ready for paint but the engine swap needs to be completed first.....

I gave the 383 to a buddy of mine.

Are these the same guy that were working on your Challenger???

The flaky parts guys, yes. The shop that has the Polara, no.

The engine builder is great about taking my calls & shipped me a lot of the parts I need but I am so done with the other shop that I could just puke. I have given them a LOT of money over the past three years & I can't even get a call returned. Unfortunately that seems to be a typical customer experience for them & I was in the minority prior to this bullshit.

I would find another shop immediately and move all your stuff ASAP!
