Give me about a year and I may have some experience with a quick jack style lift. My new garage is wide and deep but only 10ft ceilings. I have to get everything else squared away before I get into a lift.
Sorry to hijack the thread but my garage space is way too small for a traditional lift. Has anyone tried the quickjack? QuickJack Portable Car Lift Replacement Parts and Extra Parts I'm thinking I can move this to the driveway with the proper weight distribution on the asphalt if necessary.
I keep looking at them... but they cost so much for so little gain...I have been trying to see if anyone here has any experience with this system too. So far nothing...
For my .02 I will say that the main reason I want a 2 post is I want to get the “floor” out of the way so I can more easily work on a car while standing. With a four post you’re taking the “floor” up with the car and I’m still going to need jacks and trays? No thanks. Not to mention twice the number of steel columns taking up valuable floor space.My garage has 13' from the concrete floor to the bottom of the roof joists. I can put a '68 Fury with the hood all the way open all the way up on my 4 post lift and not hit the lights installed on the bottom of the joists.
An advantage to a 4-post is that you can leave the car up in the air with no worries and for those jobs that require the wheels off a couple of jack trays and some jacks solve that problem. Just my 2 cents.
Just came across a Charger I LOVE. Hoping the Newport sells, and I can plan for the Charger garage!
It went tonight. Have a couple Chargers lined up to check out.Well, the Newport is going bye-bye, eh?
...those I can find parts for.
There are 2 67's I plan to go see.What era Charger?
You do realize that all of your mechanical issues will be duplicated in that car? It may be a little easier to find something reproduced, but IDK for certain. You can build a 68-70 out of a catalog.This is one of them. Has some rust, but also has a 383.

I don't mind mechanical issues, or even body work... heck, I don't mind parts being more than a Bowtie or Blue Oval. I just like knowing parts (even if they're repops) are readily available.You do realize that all of your mechanical issues will be duplicated in that car? We tolerate others who love C Bodies, but settle for lesser cars (@70bigblockdodge ), but keep in mind... now you are only here for our amusement, since you'll have nothing worth saving .I don't mind mechanical issues, or even body work... heck, I don't mind parts being more than a Bowtie or Blue Oval. ...but I am at least making a Mopar my first choice, so I can stick around and poke sticks at old men in hats.
Thats slick!When I do mine, I'm doing this thusly;

The lift points were called out in the shop manual for my 74 Fury, maybe you will find the same in your manual. Thes are videos of two lifting options I tried.I just purchased a Quick Jack, but haven't used it yet. Where are the best lifting points on a 1970 300?
