Thanks Dad!

Sincere condolences to you. Words often fail at times such as this.

Dave, I’m sorry for your loss, my condolences to you and your family. My father passed on Tuesday, after 91 terrific years. Peace to you.

Sorry to hear this Dave, my deepest condolences. I have a family history of heart disease, kind of expect it to be the way I go. Not the way to think...

Prayers for you and the family.
The "Thank's Dad" title says there are a lot of fond memories to hold onto. Ramble on all you want, i know i sure do
It is kinda therapeutic.
It's been 4 years since mine passed away and the memories always bring a smile.

Thanks Dave. I’m sorry, I didn’t want to take from your thread, but FCBO is a great distraction and a comfortable place. We are losing the Greatest Generation at a rapid pace now. I will miss the stories, even tough I had heard them a thousand times. Indeed, Thanks Dad!

Damn.. Very sorry to hear the news Dave. He's in a better place..My dad is 73 and has his share of health issues. I can't imagine my world without him, but as life goes, so do our loved ones. My sincerest condolences to you and your family..

James: Very sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. I too think its sad to see the Greatest Generation slip away from us. Sincere sympathies to you, your family and all those who loved your dad.

So sad to hear this news Dave. Hold on to the positive energy from his memory. He will always be with you.
You have a family here that you can turn to if needed. Trust me I know after the tremendous support I received when I lost my soul mate, Ellie.

This is for you also James. May both gentleman RIP.

Will.

We went through something similar with my Dad in 06 (copd/pacemaker etc). What really connected was your comments about his demeanour being close to the vest. That generation was tough as nails but sometimes to their disadvantage. My condolences.
