Yep, I don't think anything could make me smile as much as the Mopars.
You know I have told people for years that when I pull my cars out of the garage, wipe them down, step back and look at them I automatically smile. They literally make me smile. I know I have the right cars when that happens. Love my c body cars and would not replace them with anything else.

D. E. D. My hero. Worshipped him.
After he died (penniless but supported by friends so as to protect his dignity),
come to find out he was a poser all his life. His entire lifestyle all his life was aided by the wealthy.

Another that was a disappointment was Hemingway, someone David quoted in the above video. Get beyond the hunting & writing and what's left was a mess. That was one of my heroes. Not anymore.

Never look at your hero's too closely. If you look back at any public figure, almost all of their status and persona is invented by the media. They may have done one thing well or had 15 minutes of fame and for some reason the media decided they had the right look or appeal and made them into a "hero".

I had a friend that took really nice W30 Cutlass 442 like that and ruined it. Its had the red plastic fender liners as well. He riveted on a big hood scoop, put on ladder bars, and gutted the interior. The poor car was not one bit faster after all of the "improvements" & rode like a dump truck as an added bonus.

Oh gawd, the 60's muscle cars and what they were 10 years later, oiyyyy...
Saw it time and time again.

Loved the 250 GTO video! The 250 GTO is one of my fantasy cars. Got stationed in Italy for a spell. Went to Maranello to the Ferrari museum just to be near the 250! Words are difficult at best to describe the air about one of these cars. When Sant’Agata Bolognese is so close, a lamborghini factory tour has to follow. This was when the Diablo was the hottest lambo to date. All are hand built. Cold roll steel at one end and Lambo at the other, the only item not manufactured there was glass. Being a paint guy by trade, that area intrigued me. One was being built for a sheik. Areas were circled on the roof, when I looked under intense light, I couldn't see the flaw. 13 layers of buffed paint on that one.
