Don't think I'd get rid of one of mine for this but I'd certainly step out with one...

Whatever works for you. No excuses here needed.

Oh gawd, the 60's muscle cars and what they were 10 years later, oiyyyy...
Saw it time and time again.
One that I think about from time to time was car that was being parted out. My friend had (still owns its as well) a white AAR and we went over to get some parts off of another 70 Cuda. This was 1983. The car that was being parted out had a 383 4speed, with a bench seat, and elsometric bumpers. He bought the bumpers off of that car for $25! The guy would not sell the car, which was in decent shape. He was using the engine and a few other parts in another car. Ugh.

Loved the 250 GTO video! The 250 GTO is one of my fantasy cars. Got stationed in Italy for a spell. Went to Maranello to the Ferrari museum just to be near the 250! Words are difficult at best to describe the air about one of these cars. When Sant’Agata Bolognese is so close, a lamborghini factory tour has to follow. This was when the Diablo was the hottest lambo to date. All are hand built. Cold roll steel at one end and Lambo at the other, the only item not manufactured there was glass. Being a paint guy by trade, that area intrigued me. One was being built for a sheik. Areas were circled on the roof, when I looked under intense light, I couldn't see the flaw. 13 layers of buffed paint on that one.View attachment 87454 View attachment 87455 View attachment 87456 View attachment 87457

You need to google the Texas vocational school Ferrari GTO. One of the 36 cars was a donation and used in shop class, and then sat. It was rescued sometime ago, but a cool story.

Watch that last video I posted (not long afterwards Chrysler bought Lamborghini), it shows how they were building the Countach, which was close to the Diablo. They were hot. Back then the Diablo would run a true 200 mph. The only other car capable of that speed was a F40.

It's been a week. I changed my mind.

I will admit to having a soft spot for the Buick Rivera. I looked at one right before I bought my 300. If the deal had been better, I'd be posting about how much I always like 300's on ForBuickRiverasOnly.

I bought a new leftover '72 in '73. Just in time for the gas crisis...

Hmmmm...

Happened to stumble on that photo a few weeks ago and read about how it sat outside in plain view. Just amazing, my jaw hit the floor with that read! Always thought the Lusso was an incredible car too.
The level of attention to detail at the Lambo factory simply floored me. Yes, true 200 mph cars!

Gag. Ack ack... Patooie

No offense intended :)

The Lusso is a beautiful car. I have never seen one in person. I grew up in a rural mostly horse farm area. The local pizza delivery owner had a Dino, that he sometimes would deliver pizza in. My Brother got next to him on an expressway ramp in his King Cobra Mustang (haha) with about 125 hp and they went at it. The Dino with it's little v6 ran away from him. Expected, but fun. Downtown Louisville a exotic dealership opened up in the early 80's. Performance Motors. A few exotics would drift out & I would see them playing around. A gentleman farmer in his 70's bought a Lamborghini Jalpa. He would scream, grinding the gears, on the rural roads. Ironically that dealership is now a Goodwill. The first Ferrari I rode in was a carbed 512 Boxer. That thing was so cool.

Luckily the cars that get under my skin now are the much cheaper ones! As mentioned earlier the Olds Toronado, 1966 and 1967 are what I could realistically see getting/wanting. Love them all.

one i'd like to have back. 63 pontiac lemans just like the pic minus the girl and palm trees :)
