Just got done watching The Driver - released in 1978. Great movie with some great chase sequences if you guys haven't already seen it. My son wants to watch Vanishing Point but its not for someone his age. I'll take that Chally though.........plain jane wht 4 speed. That movie is full of great Mopars.

I gotta find the orig Gone in Sixty Seconds on DVD........amazon, here I come! IIRC this was the movie where the main char was doing his own stunts and got hurt pretty bad.

Also check out Dirty Mary Crazy Larry if you haven't watched it yet.

The driver is good. The scene in the parking garage LOL

Why do you consider Vanishing Point not right for your son? Drugs and the end? My favorite car movie of all time. Next is American Graffiti

Havent seen the driver in 20 years....... American Graffiti is definately the best......... The next best movie in my opinion is Hollywood Nights..... thats NOT a movie for the kids.

I think the not for kid reference that mark is making is the girl on the horse

saw it sunday......i bought that, the driver and v point on DVD when I was deployed!

And I want to see Race with the Devil.........the usual Peter Fonda movies where everyone dies at the end. There is also a movie I saw back in the late 70's, this guy was picking girls up. hitchhikers. etc and killing them. No idea what the name of it is though, he drove a '73 (IIRC) Impala htp. Had to be made in 73-78 sometime. Been trying to figure out what it was for years, with no luck.

some language, the scene with the cop and girl in the back seat (was that Candace Bergen?) and the girl riding nude. BTW, the son I am talking abt is 6 yrs old.

Yeah probably not age appropriate, girl in back of police car, girlfriend in jeep, and naked girl on motorcycle. Seeing a Camaro destroyed at end is not that tramatic. Mark please post info/link if you find original "Gone in 60 seconds" Thanks

Another movie I would liikke to see again/own is Funny Car Summer documentary on Jim Dunn's family funny car racing in the 70's not everyones cup of tea but I remember going to see this with a childhood friend in theaters.

Out of stock , dammit, saw two lane blacktop, hot rod(rebel of the road) I could spend all night on there.

thought about the girl on the cycle then thought surely not but the girl in the back seat yeah I can see that since it was rape. Maybe just time a few ' breaks ' when know those are coming up. But man there is not better Mopar movie to me. It's all cars all the time and the big dude sounds awesome .. music is killer too. Really takes me back.
