"The Driver"

I was going to mention "Two Lane Blacktop", its been years since I've seen some of these.

Havent seen the driver in 20 years....... American Graffiti is definately the best......... The next best movie in my opinion is Hollywood Nights..... thats NOT a movie for the kids.

I think the not for kid reference that mark is making is the girl on the horse

Concur AG is definitely the best movie and is cool as hell. I watch that about once a year along with VP and two lane black top, Hot Rod, and just watched Hollywood Nights not long ago for the first time in years and man I forgo how much gratutious nudity and booby shots there were in that. Definitely on the repeat list now LOL.

I may be verbally stoned and lambasted but I'll never watch Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry again in my lifetime and I really don't understand why it's so popular. There I said it.

it's a charger for half the movie.......that's the big draw, IMO. The chase in French Connection is great as well with Bill Hickman behind the wheel. There is also a good chase in The Seven-Ups, ends with Roy Scheider running into the back of a truck.

Enjoy! Edit: just noticed this is Bill Hickman too........

if I remember correctly the script could have been written on not more than two bar napkins.

Although I like the original Vanishing Point, I would like it a lot better without the drugs and without the senseless suicide at the end, and without any of the actual dialog. I actually think the 1995 Vanishing Point (whether a sequel or rewrite) is a much better movie. It actually has a plot.
Its scenes like this one that make the 1995 Vanishing Point better than the original.

its only good because of the cars........after all its the C body with a top end that is "unlimited"

Heres a movie with a few C-bodies, (and some other nice bodies). The movie is pretty cheesy and low budget, and at one point a 65 Fury convertible turns into a 65 Coronet convertible. The Fury must have been rented out to someone else on the next day of shooting. Besides the female sex robots in bikinis, there is another attraction for this movie, a midnight blue 65 300 convertible.

Cannonball Run is another car movie I haven't seen in forever. I watched Dual, for the A body crowd last weekend. I noticed that got 3 stars and I really couldn't figure out why, I guess Spielberg did a good job directing.

Ever watched The Honeymoon Killers ? IIRC they drive a 66 Chrysler 300. Definitely no movie for kids.

Been watching "ADAM-12" on Netflix a lot lately. Corny as hell, but love seeing the cars in the scenery. As well as the belvedere they drive.

Non Mopar but I love the Rockford files for many reasons and one is those patented Garner back up, hit the brakes while shifting into forward gear, and pealing out down the road w/o any loss of momentum .. just fluid motion.
