Well, I'm sick of working on the Polara so I put her away for the winter. I can still work on her but I'll lose the convenience of doing so at my house. The great news is that I get to park in my garage again. The even better news is that my wife gets to park in the garage again....

Here's the MacGyver part: On the way to put the Polara away, a T-fitting that was used for coolant circulation broke right thefuck in half and I pumped coolant all over the highway. Fortunately, I noticed right away & pulled over. Well, I went to the nearest parts store & they had no T so I ended up with an L and one hose to plug. How do you plug a hose on the side of the highway? How about a nut wrapped in plastic plus a hose clamp. Yep, that worked just fine & didn't leak a drop.

Yep, upper hose collapsed but I was less than 5 minutes from home and I watched the temp gauge VERY closely. Yesterday I replaced the bullshit plastic fitting with brass & problem solved. Drove her out to my storage without incident.

Thats right Stan. After all the highs & lows of seeking that special item, the excitement and anticipation ...... the dissapointment and let downs, ..... Then .... you find it ....!!!! hard to beat that feeling.

But ........ having one drop in your lap isn't a bad thing. I've got stuff I didn't know I needed that way.
