Thats insanity
The very first stop after that should be a competent machine shop to have them checked and corrected, especially guide clearance and the valve job redone correctly.

So you wouldn't buy heads from Edelbrock, Indy or Trick Flow?I've never bothered with aftermarket cylinder heads but if you're buying new heads that need to checked, corrected and a valve job done correctly I would think they are cylinder heads that I would stay away from.
Do people buy these things so they can say " I have aluminum cylinder heads"?
Read the ad again. On the $999 ad, the copy reads "each pair comes etc, etc"You get two heads for $2249.99, the $999.99 is only one piece. It´s only $250 more, not that bad.

Yes I would get the stealths but the dollar and the worry of them getting dropped or tossed around during shipping and the brokerage that fedex will rape me with made me want to look elsewhere. I cant go over the border, ever. so thats not a optionI have purchased the stealths for a few cars. If our dollar exchange wasn't so low I would do it again. I like that they are very hard to tell from stock visually, the weight, the flow and that all stock components will bolt on. On the other heads like edelbrock you need to use headers adjustable rockers and they look like big slabs of aluminum. On early small blocks with iron water pump, the head needs some clearencing from front face. The Stealths are the best bang for buck on a street engine. I have a pair of 906 and 452 heads at my machinist friends being rebuild with new hardened seats.
