Transmission Crossmember

While under the car I happened to notice small gaps on the crossmember. All the bolts lined up and are in, but should this lip be flush all the way across?

Not terribly unusual, but....... look inside the tunnel of the cross member - there's a bolt on each end that goes up - make sure they're in place.
 
theres about 10 metric fuktons of load pressure in that area - please understand whats doin before you go horsing around with that piece.

That’s been the case on every C body I’d ever worked on from the most beaten to the most babied.

However, Polara-500’s advice is sound.. A read through the FSM for torque specs and installation procedure to confirm that everything is where it is supposed to be wouldn’t hurt either.

All is in place and torqued to the FSM specs. Thanks for verifying.
