Hello all

So I found an advert for a Dodge 300 from 1963. After quickly finding out that it should have been a Chrysler, not Dodge, I found out that Chrysler 300's didn't come in red, nor where they a convertible in 1963, but were in 1964. Just wondered if those with better eyes and a better knowledge of 300's could confirm it's a '64, as pictures I found online, they look a lot alike.

thats a 63, they were available in red and convertibles were available
Ah well my face is red. Read on wikipedia's page the 1963 300J was only a coupe and didn't come in red. That'll teach me to beleive an editable encyclopedia

yeah the 300 J was coupe only for 63, only red available was Claret Red and only interior was red afaik.
ive seen ads for 63 300J converts but they could have been "created".......
my knowledge is mainly the fuselarge and formal years.
the pics you posted look like its a 300 Sport series in PP1 Festival Red.
you didnt say that it was a J which was why i said there were red 300 converts

So my assumption that it was a 300J because as far as I knew, that's the only 300 models that existed? I didn't realize there were non lettered 300's in the 60's, so I think that might be where the confusion is coming from. That's my mistake. DIdn't help that both came with a 413 like this one :)

yeah you could order up a 300 Sport convert with all the extras to make it pretty close to J spec

No J convertible.

Only 400 300J Chryslers were built, all in 2 dr hardtop. That's the lowest production of any of the letter cars.

Not sure why the link does not work. When I typed the address in manually, it worked just fine.
