U-haul trailers

The height didn't help, but I think there may have been more than 3-4 batteries. Back in the day when I knew people who had hydraulics, they had at least 6 batteries, often times more.

Usually bad driving is the cause of most unfortunate accidents. People hook up a trailer and don't know what they are doing. I never get behind or follow anyone towing a trailer.

I think i had posted earlier, when I towed dads wagon back from Detroit it was wagging the first 10 miles on the highway. I pulled into a fuel station and rolled the car 8" forward. She was perfect all the way back to Jersey. Something as little as 8" did the trick.

Couple pin holes on the sliding tandem would put it under 34000 most times. Back when I used to pull a dummy box.

Each summer I see every example of “how not to tow a trailer”.
From wrong tow vehicle, trailer miss-loaded, wrong hitch & height and just plain stupidity.
The most common are these four place toy trailers for atvs, jet skis, trail bikes etc. These are small low trailers that are always hooked to a hitch thats way too high. Trailer sways all over the place and can lift the tail end of an empty p.u.
Next are the short wheelbase suvs towing a huge boat or camper trailer. These people have no idea of the tongue weight as the front end bobs up and down lifting tires off the pavement at 70 mph on the freeway. “Gee this thing steers easy!” Add in the sail area of the trailer, a crosswind and let the fun begin. It’s impressive how those trailers seem to explode on impact with crap spread all over the place.

Most everyone near me goes overboard with a diesel to haul a two place snowmobile trailer. They all have crew cab/quad cab trucks. Hardly see a regular cab long box, almost never see a regular cab short box.

Genius! So your assertion is the only reason this trailer flipped is because it must have had a bunch of batteries in the trunk?

Yes, that's exactly what it is! What? Is your pussy hurt cause I gave you a red X? Tough titties for you PAL!

Do the drop hitches help with that?

Yeah, they have drop hitches. All the farm kids get dad's old diesel, then put big/wide tires and wheels on, a giant coffee can on the exhaust and other goodies. They mostly go for show, not function.

Most all trucks and suvs require a drop hitch to properly level a trailer. Puttin a hitch ball through that hole in the bumper is way too high for most trailers.

Yeah but some of the heavier duty men’s trucks sit pretty high too. Mine doesn’t, 96 Ram 5 speed, man I love that truck, but my, and others, car trailer hitch’s aren’t usually that high.

on another note I’ve been thinking of buying a small trailer with a drop down tailgate/ramp to haul small items and lawn mowers with a 96 5 speed manual 2WD, man I love that truck, or a 96 Stock Durango 4x4 (have a drop hitch) or a 2014 T&C if possible.

May start a new thread on that.

I could have used one of those utility trailers a few times. I have a bigger homemade trailer that works great hauling a Bobcat. I had my Dart on it for a few months before I moved into my house. It sits a little higher than I'd like, but I used a slope in the backyard to load, and the slope at the end of the alley to unload.

Let's examine the brains of somebody buying that car in the first place and then the results of him towing it.
