I have been careful to keep my commentary out of this thread, and while I cannot control others and really don't want to oppress any other viewpoints, I don't feel that I or my thread to try to cheer up a member (or former member) has been out of line.

Why don't you suspend the offending parties rather than the thread that asked them not to "go there"?

Whereas I don't necessarily agree with the rules or how they are enforced. I have to remind myself that I am a guest in their house, I don't ***** about having to take my shoes off or how awful their decorating is or there questionable taste in art is. If I have a problem with it I can simply not visit or learn to accept it, I am a guest in their house.

I have not been banned but I have had my hand slapped for challenging the rules. I do question the motivation for the rules as I don't feel they reflect the way those that enforce them live their lives. The rules are designed to cater to the lowest common denominator or not to cut into their profit.

That is more critical that I had planned but it is their house, their rules.

I have been respectful to all in my postings on this matter, and try to be respectful as a rule. I think my thread was victim of mistaken identity. I wouldn't feel at all bad if the F/U posts were deleted, but to kill off the whole thing negates the intended purpose, which was to give Dave a little love... even if it is that last public thread to do so, and also perhaps inform members who may be looking for him. I asked, but there was complaining, there was cursing, and there was at least one member who felt the need to post stuff that I don't understand, but seemed kinda mean... I don't really care, it is in general discussion for a reason. I am not trying to incite a riot or anything here.

Bingo. Thank you. I will also continue to call out Joey and the mods when the rules that are routinely not applied equally. It is hilarious that he will point out the rules that are the same for the A and B sites but conveniently ignore the double standard. He shuts down threads and then gaslights us with his own version of reality after the evidence has been removed.

Look Scott, you're a great guy, a true car guy and a Mopar guy... but when you insist on color coordinating your bright, girly sneakers with an equally awful bright girly tee shirt...
