Got the big gap closed up and fitting a patch to finish up this side. Then I'll clean it us as best I can and seal it up. Got the old man a Christmas gift of ventshades that came in this morning.
No complaints from here. Looks good. Good to know that this can be done with a HF flux welder. I often wondered about how the results would turn out. Nice work.Passenger side is about wrapped up. A few odds and ends and I can move onto the next spot.

Thank you! Yes it's possible especially when you dont feel like dumping a ton of money into a mig setup. It takes a bit of trial and error, but I'm finding using the max setting with a 2.75 - 3 on the wire speed and .030 wire is giving me the best results so far. I do get some burn through, but can go back and get it to fill in.No complaints from here. Looks good. Good to know that this can be done with a HF flux welder. Thank you!Great job!
Good work! That's a wrap for this section. I'm pretty happy how it came out considering my very basic selection of tools the HF flux core, ball peen hammer and bench vise. Nex,t the rear end is coming out for a good look over and new springs and I'll finish up scraping the slop from underneath.
