Unofficial ACN Carlisle thread

YO KING DAVE. With all these responces why is their no C-Body Canopy. If you get (I Think) 20-25 or more to list as C-Body guyz when they regester the canopy comes NO CHARGE and It's a place to rally and get out of the sun. THE 300 CROWD HAS BEEN GETTING IT FREE THAT WAY FOR YEARZ! And they're just down the same row from the Imp Guyz, Jer

We can do the same here. Either, we have 25 guys register under FCBO as their club affiliation and next year we get a free tent.... OR we order up the tent now and everyone who is going chip in ten or fifteen bucks for the rental........

Well I'm committed to the 300 Club this year but I'd still throw in that kinda dough this year to the FCBO group just to have a spot th stash the cooler in the shade but sombodys gotta take charge to make it happen and get it done. H***, I don't even know if I'll still be pumpin' air come this time next year! The Jury iz still out on that, Jer

Yes to everything.....it's either Gate 3 or 4 that's open 24 hours a day. Come and go as you please. Most people have an EZ up tent behind their car and just lower it a little when you leave for the night. Total strangers on the line all get along fantastic the whole weekend. I talked to Gary last year and didn't know it.....I still don't really know what he looks like. LOL!!! Dave said he was parked a couple cars down from me. I probably talked to several other people on this forum and other forums over the years and didn't realize who they were. I really enjoyed myself at the big show.
usually gate 3, right by the registration office

As you can see though Jer, not many registering a car...... maybe ten.
The DryDock tried this years ago and was unsuccessful

And the E-body guyz are taking over that whole half of the show field 'tween the hill and Manufactures row, cute little carz that they are however much plastic their iz on the inside! Friend of mine bought his wife a tripple white '70 cuda 340 drop top back in the mid-'80s out of the Rollo Musium and his wife b**ched so loud about how noisy it was and how it leaked in the rain so bad that he finally broomed it to some guy in Kansas City and bought her a Reatta coupe and told her to stiffle it like Archie Bunker ustah tell Edith. Maybe we should vote the E-body guyz the whole hill and bring back all the L-P-and J bodys and truck guyz back to this side of the turn pike?

BUT the C body registrations and attendance has been rising every year. Take a look at the C section. Not just the C body classes either but the 300 section, letter and non letter, Imperials, the big cars are getting their love

Excellent, anyone else from the group staying there?

It seemed like the best place for the $$$ including the full hot breakfast, that alone is worth $10.00 plus you don't have to stop on the way to the show to eat.

We used to get breakfast at Dukes, it was a great place under the stands that opened at 7am. Three years ago they closed Dukes and opened up some horrible , expensive place. Now we go to the Diner at 630 and get to the show by 730. Its a nice little place that isnt too expensive with decent food.

The room rates were under 100.00 and compared to what is available in Carlise its a bargin in many ways.
