vented or not???

I installed a new gas tank from Vans. My 69 Newport has the 2 vent tubes off the tank. What type of cap do I need for that style tank? The car did not have a gas cap on the old tank when I bought it.

70 Federal emissions and 69 and older were open systems and should have a non-vented cap.

Ditto non-vented. That's what I have on my 1970 Fury.

I out a vented cap on my '70. I prefer it.
