We pulled our trailer with a new 67 Newport Custom too! When we got the trailer dad thought he would have to order a trailer tow pkg. His engineers at work said a Big block, torqueflite, a/c and load leveling hitch would give him enough H.D. stuff to tow. They were correct and he wasn't driving a car that "rode like a truck" the rest of the year.
